Today, we are excited to continue our Staff Shoutouts with Ms. Megan Heaton from East Village Elementary! A parent nominated Ms. Heaton, a 3rd grade teacher, because she has cultivated her child’s love of learning this year. She is patient and kind with her students and create a “family” within her virtual classroom. Because of Ms. Heaton, her child is excited and inspired to learn more, create more, and help more! When we asked Ms. Heaton what she loves about teaching, she said “I love that I get to come to school every day to create a strong classroom community that promotes individuality, respect, love, leadership, and confidence amongst my students.” She says she works hard to create an atmosphere that is guided by structure, energy, and a love for learning. Ms. Heaton loves that eStem provides a motivating, challenging, and highly effective learning culture where students love to come to school each day!
