Good afternoon DTJH Families, Thank you for your flexibility this morning. We are working as quickly as possible to repair and restore the building after the flooding that occurred early this morning. To ensure the safety of our students and staff, we will pivot to virtual learning for the remainder of this week (Wednesday, January 22 – Friday, January 24). As we evaluate the needs of the building, we will continue to communicate updates and information to you as soon as possible. We are thrilled to announce the winners of our Downtown K6 classroom spelling bee competitions. Each homeroom conducted their own spelling bee last week. The classroom winners will compete in our school wide spelling bee on January 30th. These students have demonstrated incredible spelling skills and determination. Congratulations to East Village Elementary student, Dyson Peoples (6th grade). He was nominated by our very own Mr. Robinson to represent our school, and we are delighted to congratulate Dyson on receiving the 2025 Susie Everett Youth Community Service Award from the Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission. Great job Dyson, and continue to be a pillar in serving in our community.

Attention Downtown K6 Families - We know that winter weather in Arkansas is unpredictable! If we do have inclement weather, we will post notifications on our website and social media plus notify parents through text/emails. We also notify all area tv stations if we are closed.
