Downtown K6 has a superstar on staff! Mrs. Alia Pope, 4th grade math & science teacher, recently went to New York City to appear on the Tamron Hall Show! Mrs. Pope not only enlightens her students on math and science, she also lightens our hearts and minds with her fun videos requesting staff to "finish the lyrics" or perform a dance. We love Mrs. Pope and are so happy she is being recognized for her hard work and dedication to the teaching field. Here is the link to her interview. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ms3MUH8u3Ys

Chess is on the move here at EVE!  Led by our very own Mr. Robinson, the Chess Team scored 3rd place overall in the Autumn Central Arkansas Chess Tournament! This is quite an impressive accomplishment for a team that learned the game of Chess just last year. In addition to placing 3rd overall, we had three students that were awarded individual medals!   The medal recipients were:  James McAllister - 3rd place in Advanced Section.  Spencer McAllister - 3rdplace in Intermediate Section. Corey Hall Jr. - 2nd place in the Beginner Section.   EVE added these latest wins to the 3rd place trophy that Mathew Thompson won in the first tournament. This makes a total of four individual awards and one overall team award for the year! Go eStem go!
