eStem Families,

I wish I were welcoming you and your children back to school at eStem today in person, but we continue to live in – and adjust to – an unprecedented time. First, I’d like to thank you for all you are doing to help your children with their school work through this difficult period. Overnight, you became a counselor, teacher, and principal of your own school. It’s a lot, and I want you to know that you are appreciated.

AMI instruction will continue for all students for the near future.  If your student has issues completing assignments for ANY reason, please contact your child's teacher or the school director. They are here to help you, so please don’t hesitate to email them with any questions or concerns.

As it stands, all eStem special events scheduled for the remainder of this semester are canceled per the Center for Disease Control's (CDC) social distancing guidance on large group gatherings. Unfortunately, this includes prom, Soiree, and athletic/academic awards ceremonies or banquets. In addition, we have been notified by UA-Little Rock that they will not be able to host any high school graduations at the Jack Stephens Center this spring; therefore, our May 21 commencement ceremony has been canceled. But, please note that we are working on an alternative plan to recognize the special accomplishments of our seniors.

I know this isn’t how we wanted to spend the Spring semester. My heart hurts for our seniors, in particular, who are missing out on so many special memories; however, I truly believe that we will emerge from this dark chapter stronger and with renewed priorities for our families and our community. Serving as eStem's CEO is one of my life’s greatest joys, and I thank you for entrusting us as partners in your children’s education.
