At DTJH, some of the 8th grade students had the incredible opportunity to volunteer at the DLRP Annual Meeting where they engaged with community leaders, including the mayor and local business owners. We are so proud of these students for representing eStem and gaining valuable experience in civic engagement.

At East Village Elementary, our kindergarteners are diving into history with the Arkansas Heritage Museum loan boxes, supporting their CKLA curriculum! 🌟 They explored the Arkansas Traveler and Charlie's Cloak, making learning come alive with stories and artifacts. 📚✨ #CKLA #ArkansasHeritage #HandsOnLearning #KindergartenAdventures

Good morning DTJH Parents/Guardians, We are excited to announce that the Downtown Junior High Fundraiser kicks off today! It’s 100% contactless, we keep 50% of all sales and the product ships directly to the buyer. Funds from the fundraiser will go directly towards student and teacher incentives. Our fundraising window begins on today at 5:00 PM and goes until March 21, 2024, at 5:00 PM. Before the fundraiser begins, we need you to follow the steps that are in the picture guide. Good afternoon DTJH Families. Tomorrow will be our first day of Atlas Interim testing. We will ONLY test 8th grade students (including virtual 8th grade students) in the building. 7th grade students will work virtually from home. Please make sure students are well rested and receive a healthy breakfast. After testing, we will continue as a normal day and students are expected to be in each class period.

Students at DTJH are engaging in focused writing practice in their English classes as they prepare for the upcoming ATLAS interim testing. By responding to various writing prompts, they are sharpening their skills in crafting clear, structured essays and improving their ability to analyze and express their thoughts effectively under timed conditions.

Over half of our students now have a guardian set up in Rooms! For parents who have not accepted the email/text invite, another round of invites have been sent today. Good afternoon families! Our classroom picture day is tomorrow, Tuesday, February 25th. This has been on the calendar for a year, but with the crazy weather we've had, we have not promoted it as well as we could have. Order forms are coming home today and you will also be able to order online. See the photo attached! Students will need to be in UNIFORM not casual clothes. Thank you in advance for making sure your child is dressed appropriately for the day.

7th grade cheer tryouts for the 2025-26 school year are coming soon! There will be a mandatory parent meeting on February 24th, 4pm at East Village Elementary. Attendance is required in order to participate in the clinic and tryouts. See attached flyers for additional information. Good afternoon DTJH Families, Out of an abundance of caution for our students, families, and staff members, eStem, like other central Arkansas districts, will be closed tomorrow, February 21st. While we would love to have everyone back on campus, icy patches remain on several secondary roads and in shady spots on major roads (including spots near eStem campuses), and temperatures are not expected to rise above freezing until late tomorrow afternoon. We hope everyone stays safe and warm tomorrow, and we will see everyone back on Monday, February 24th, with an expected high temperature of 64 degrees!
