Teamwork makes the Dreamwork!! This morning, eStem Downtown K6 had the privilege of welcoming our very own METS High School Basketball team during morning arrival! These exemplary students took time out of their day to open car doors for our students arriving this morning. We love partnering with our schools within the district. We wish them a winning season and we are their biggest fans!

eStem DTJH has "Mets Time" every Thursday. The purpose of Mets Time is to ensure equitable education to ALL students through academic labs and enrichment labs.
Students in Coach Comiskey's Mets Time were working with manipulatives to create puzzle cubes (3x3x3) for their classmates to solve.
In Mr. Miller's Mets Time, students were required to brainstorm and build a prototype of their choice. The prototype had to serve a logical purpose to fulfill the requirements of the assignment.

DTJH Parents, don’t forget that Friday is the last day for your student to join an after school club for this semester.

At East Village Elementary, we commit to making learning fun and engaging. Hands-on activities foster collaboration among students and promotes student’s cognitive understanding of skills and concepts.

The staff and students at eStem Downtown K6 work hard so we can play hard! Our 5th and 6th graders finished up their NWEA assessments this week and we celebrated by having our Let's GLOW Back to School dance on Friday night. A big thanks to our own 5th grade teacher Mr. Whitfield for being our fantastic DJ!

Good afternoon DTJH Parents/Guardians,

At DTJH, students in Ms. Horton's Computer Programming classes explored Micro:bits in class on yesterday and today. The BBC micro:bit is a pocket-sized computer that introduces you to how software and hardware work together. It has an LED light display, buttons, sensors, and many input/output features that, when programmed, let it interact with you and your world. A few creations from students include a programmed shadow boxing game a Morse-code guessing game, and tic-tac-toe.
We are excited to see what happens in this class throughout the year!
