Good morning,
I wanted to provide an update regarding the HVAC issues at the eStem East Village campus. The air conditioning units were not functioning properly this morning. The repair team arrived within the hour and has begun working to address the issue.
However, due to the expected heat, the anticipated repair time, and the additional time needed for the building to cool to a comfortable temperature, we will be releasing students from the East Village campus early today. We fully anticipate that the HVAC issue will be resolved today and that the building will have sufficient time to cool overnight so that we can resume classes as normal tomorrow.
Junior High Early Dismissal Procedures:
-The Junior High will begin releasing students at 12:00 p.m. to allow students to receive lunch before dismissal.
-We will follow our regular dismissal process through the breezeway for student pickup.
-If your student is a walker and you need them to be released early as a walker, please send an email to elizabeth.bautista@estemschools.org.
-Students who are awaiting pickup will remain in the MPR (the MPR has air) until they are picked up.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to ensure the safety and comfort of our students and staff.
