Happy Friday, Mets Nation!
We loved seeing everyone’s Mets pride as they participated in our Spirit Week! We hope to see each of you at the Homecoming Coronation Ceremony tonight, 11/9, at 5:40 PM with our varsity basketball games immediately following the crowning of our royalty! The final event of the week will be our GloCo Homecoming Dance tomorrow night, 7-10 PM, at eStem East Village Elementary.
Important Message From the Director:
We are fortunate that our students have access to such great technology at our schools. With this privilege comes responsibility, and we believe it is important to teach our students the appropriate use of technology. We appreciate your help in doing this as well! We do understand that students will make mistakes at times when using technology, and we want to outline the discipline process for the misuse of technology. The misuse of technology includes things like damaging eStem technology, visiting inappropriate websites, etc. This is not an all-inclusive list but gives you some examples. We will review this process with our students at school. Please help us reiterate it at home as well!
The discipline process for the misuse of technology will be as follows:
- 1st offense: parent conference and Saturday School
- 2nd offense: parent conference and 2 Saturday Schools/ The student will also incur a loss of privileges (computer used only in restricted mode) for one month
- 3rd offense: parent conference and suspension/The student will also incur a loss of privileges indefinitely (computer used only in restricted mode) and probation.
*The Director has discretion to administer consequences that may jump steps in our process based on the nature of the offense.
Our goal is to teach students how to use technology appropriately and responsibly. We appreciate your support with this!
