We’re excited to introduce you to Mrs. Jana Young , Director of eStem High School!
Mrs. Young has been part of the eStem community for 9 years and brings experience and a strong commitment to serving our students, staff, and families to our school each day.
🍎 A little more about her: She is passionate about leading with purpose, positivity, and joy! For her, leadership is not simply about managing a school, but it is about building people and creating a culture where everyone feels like they belong and can succeed.
💙 Why eStem? One of the things she loves most about eStem is the sense of choice and commitment within the community. Families choose eStem because they want to be a part of what the school offers and believes in which creates an environment where students, families, and staff come together with a shared investment in the success of the school.
📚 Favorite part of being a principal: Supporting people and heling them recognize their full potential!
🎓 Education/experience: Mrs. Young started her career as a classroom teacher and has since served in the roles of Curriculum Facilitator and Assistant Director before she became the High School Director. Having worked closely with students both inside and outside of the classroom, she understands the importance of school culture, student voice, engagement, traditions, and creating meaningful experiences that help students feel connected to their school community.
✨ Fun fact: She loves coffee! In fact, she loves it so much she special-orders her favorite coffee from North Carolina every month! A great day at school MUST start with a cup of coffee!
🎯 Goal for this school year: Mrs. Young's goal this year is to continue building a school culture centered on relationships, opportunity, support, and you...where the entire commUNITY grows together!
