We are excited to recognize members of our staff going above & beyond for our students and schools! A parent nominated Mrs. Abernathy by saying this, “I can’t express with words the level of respect and admiration I have for Mrs. Abernathy both as a teacher and as a human being. She has gone so far above and beyond her ‘job’ to show my daughter love and the joy art can bring through both appreciation and creation.”
When we asked Mrs. Abernathy what she loves about teaching, she said, “I love helping kids discover themselves! I get to see students use new materials, show them things they’ve never seen before, and make messes with them. It is so rewarding to see a child discover a new interest or talent they didn’t know they had, and I get to see it every single day!” Mrs. Abernathy says the best part about working at eStem is the collaboration and positive atmosphere. She adds that she appreciates working at a school where she know that everyone is doing what they can to make sure every students has what they need to succeed no matter what! We couldn’t have said it better, Mrs. Abernathy!
