HS Growth Award

Each year, the Office for Education Policy awards schools for their growth and performance on the ACT Aspire. This year, two of our schools received awards for their students' growth in Math on the 2019 ACT Aspire. eStem High School has been recognized by the Office for Education Policy (OEP) at the University of Arkansas as a school where students demonstrated high growth on the ACT Aspire!  The OEP creates an annual report entitled the Outstanding Educational Performance Awards where we recognize schools with high student academic growth. East Village Junior High has been recognized as a school that is "Beating the Odds" because of the high growth among schools that serve a low income student population. You can view that report here

The OEP believes growth is the best indicator of the positive impact that your school is having on students, and we agree!

Awards are based on the 2019 content growth score calculated by the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education. These growth scores reflect how much students at the school improved from 2018 compared to how much they were expected to grow considering prior achievement. We recognize schools based on Overall growth, as well as for growth in Math and English Language Arts separately.

We are proud of the accomplishments and hard work that our students put in last year to receive this recognition. We look forward to seeing the great things they do this year!
